Que faire
The car drives normally; one door's electrics will have stopped responding.
The single most useful thing to establish, and it takes one scan: is more than one door affected? If two or more are silent, the problem is almost certainly something they share — a fuse, an earth, or the body control module — rather than two doors failing at once. That is a much smaller and cheaper investigation than stripping door cards.
If your vehicle has a powered sliding door, mention it. Its wiring runs through a moving track and flexes far harder than an ordinary door's, so broken wires there are routine and it is the first place to look.
Otherwise the usual suspects for this block apply: water from a blocked door drain, a damp connector, or a broken wire in the concertina between body and door.

On a four-door car module D completes the set, and that makes one pattern worth checking before anything else: how many door modules are reporting.
- One door silent is a fault local to that door — its harness boot, its connector, its water ingress, its supply.
- Two or more doors silent is almost never two coincidental failures. Body modules are usually daisy-chained or share a supply and a bus branch, so the fault is upstream of both: a shared fuse, a common earth, the body control module, or the gateway.
That distinction costs nothing to establish and decides whether the next step is stripping a door card or opening a fusebox. Stripping the wrong door is several hours that a scan of the stored codes would have prevented.
On vehicles with more than four doors — vans with sliding doors, or vehicles with powered tailgates counted into the same series — module D may not be a passenger door at all. A powered sliding door is a particularly worthwhile thing to identify early, because its harness runs through a track or an articulated arm that flexes far more severely than any hinged door's boot, and broken conductors there are routine rather than unusual.
