The car drives normally. Expect the window to lose its one-touch operation and to move only slowly while you hold the switch — that is the car protecting you, not a further fault. These motors detect something trapped in the window by feeling the effort they are drawing, and when that protection is not trustworthy the vehicle refuses to let the window close unsupervised.
If this started right after a flat battery, a new battery or a jump start, try re-initialising the window before paying anyone. These motors learn where the top and bottom of the travel are, and they lose that memory when power is lost. The procedure is usually: hold the switch up until the window is shut, keep holding for several more seconds, then hold it down until fully open and hold again. Your handbook will give the exact sequence. This resolves a large share of these complaints and costs nothing.
If the window has been getting slower or noisier, say so. That points at the mechanism — a fraying regulator cable, a dry channel, or the glass binding in its seals — rather than the motor. The motor is only reporting that the window is harder to move than it should be, and replacing it would not fix that.
Ce que signifie ce code
The first door window motor has stopped being heard from. See U0200 for the block's framing.
A window motor with a network address is not just a motor, and the reason it needs intelligence of its own is a safety requirement: anti-trap.
A one-touch window closes without anybody holding the switch, which means it can close on a hand, an arm or a child's neck with nobody watching. The protection is built into the motor's own controller: it monitors the current it is drawing and the speed it is turning, and an obstruction shows up as a sudden rise in one and a fall in the other. The motor then stops and reverses. That decision has to be made in milliseconds, which is why it lives at the motor rather than in a module elsewhere.
The consequence of this code is therefore not merely a window that will not move — it is a window that may move without protection, and most manufacturers respond by disabling one-touch operation entirely and permitting only slow travel while the switch is held. That is a deliberate safety fallback and it is worth recognising rather than treating as a symptom.
Here is the single most useful thing on this page, because it turns a suspected failure into a two-minute fix. These motors hold a learned picture of the window — where the top and bottom stops are, and how much effort the glass normally needs at each point in its travel, so that a genuine obstruction can be distinguished from ordinary friction. That memory is lost when the vehicle loses power: a flat battery, a battery change, a jump start, or the door module being disconnected.
A window that will only inch up while you hold the switch, immediately after battery work, is almost never faulty. It needs re-initialising — normally by holding the switch up until the window is closed and continuing to hold it for several seconds, then the same downward. The exact procedure is in the handbook and it costs nothing.
When the fault is real, look at the mechanism before the motor. A regulator with a fraying cable, a dry or distorted run channel, or a window binding in its seals makes the motor work harder — and a motor working harder than its learned profile is exactly what the anti-trap logic is built to react to. A slow, groaning window that then sets a code is a mechanical problem being reported electrically.
