P2626: Korrektur des Pumpstroms der Lambdasonde — Stromkreis unterbrochen, Bank 1 Sensor 1
Was zu tun ist
The car will usually drive normally, using a little more fuel than it should, and the emissions self-tests will not complete.
Two warnings are worth more than the diagnosis here. First, this sensor cannot be tested by looking for a switching voltage — it is a wideband sensor, it works by current rather than voltage, and the usual quick test reports a perfectly good one as failed. That test has condemned a great many healthy sensors. Second, the sensor's calibration is built into its plug, so a damaged connector must never be repaired by taking one from another sensor. It will fit and it will read plausibly and wrongly for ever, with no code to say so.
The likely fault is the connector or the wiring rather than the sensor itself, and it is worth insisting those are checked first.
Was dieser Code bedeutet
An open circuit in the pumping current trim of the upstream oxygen sensor on bank 1.
This code exists only on a wideband sensor, for the reason set out at P2237: a wideband sensor does not generate a signal voltage the way a narrowband one does. The module drives a current through a pump cell to hold a measurement chamber at exactly stoichiometric, and the current it takes to do that is the reading. There is no voltage to interpret; there is a current to maintain.
The trim circuit is what makes that current mean something. No two sensors are physically identical — cell thickness, electrode area and internal resistance all vary in manufacture — so the same current through two sensors does not represent the same mixture. Each sensor therefore carries its own calibration, commonly as a resistor built into its connector, and the trim circuit is how the module reads it. P2243 established why that matters and it matters again here: the calibration lives in the connector, not in the sensor body.
So an open trim circuit does not mean the sensor is dead. It means the module has a current reading it cannot convert into a mixture with any confidence, and an uncalibrated wideband sensor is worse than none — it produces a number that looks entirely reasonable and is wrong by an unknown amount.
The module's response is the sensible one: it stops trusting the sensor, drops out of closed-loop fuelling and runs on its stored map. The engine will run, and run acceptably, while using more fuel and emitting more than it should, and the readiness monitors will not complete.
Two things follow that are worth stating before anyone touches the sensor. First, the standard test — back-probing for a switching voltage — will report this sensor as dead whether it is or not, because a wideband sensor never produces one. Second, a damaged connector must not be repaired by transplanting one from another sensor, since the calibration is in it and the transplant guarantees a plausible, permanently wrong reading.

Dazu wurde noch nichts veröffentlicht. Was immer Sie gefunden haben, ist es wert, aufgeschrieben zu werden — selbst eine Sackgasse erspart jemandem denselben Nachmittag.
Was einen Bericht lesenswert macht:
- Das Fahrzeug — Marke, Modell, Baujahr und Motor. Derselbe Fehler verhält sich auf jedem anders.
- Was Sie gemessen haben, nicht nur, was Sie getauscht haben.
- Was es tatsächlich behoben hat — oder dass nichts es behoben hat, was ebenso nützlich ist.
