U0587: Ungültige Daten von der Manipulationssicherung des Kühlers empfangen
Was zu tun ist
The car drives normally in most cases. This concerns a monitor on the cooling system that reports whether the coolant circuit has been opened or interfered with.
If the car has recently had cooling system work — a radiator, a thermostat, a coolant change, a hose — mention it. That is by far the most likely explanation, and it may simply need resetting after legitimate work.
On commercial and fleet vehicles this can matter more, because the cooling system is part of the emissions strategy on some of them and a tamper report can restrict how the vehicle runs. If the vehicle has gone into a reduced-power mode, treat it as connected to this rather than as a separate problem.
Check the coolant level while you are at it. It costs nothing and rules out the simplest explanation.
Was dieser Code bedeutet
A module is reporting implausible data from the radiator anti-tamper device. See U0400 for what an invalid-data code is and why the module it names is usually the messenger rather than the culprit.
This code's title is worth addressing directly, because it reads as though something has gone wrong with it: the standard renders it with a doubled preposition — "Invalid Data Received From With Radiator Anti Tamper Device".
That is the standard's own error, not a transcription mistake here. Three unrelated public transcriptions carry the same doubled words verbatim, which is how an error in the source document is distinguished from one introduced by a copier. The corpus records the title as the standard writes it and says so rather than silently tidying it, because a reader comparing against a scan tool should find what their tool shows.
The device itself is a seal or monitor on the cooling system, fitted so that the vehicle can tell whether the coolant circuit has been opened or interfered with — most commonly on commercial and fleet vehicles, where coolant systems are also emissions systems and where tampering has a financial motive.
Its practical relevance is narrow but real: on vehicles where the cooling circuit forms part of the emissions control strategy, a tamper report can put the vehicle into a restricted mode, and the code is then upstream of a driveability complaint rather than an isolated curiosity.
Where a related lost-communication code exists, see U0286 — the corpus fixes the device's real subject there.

Was einen Bericht lesenswert macht:
- Das Fahrzeug — Marke, Modell, Baujahr und Motor. Derselbe Fehler verhält sich auf jedem anders.
- Was Sie gemessen haben, nicht nur, was Sie getauscht haben.
- Was es tatsächlich behoben hat — oder dass nichts es behoben hat, was ebenso nützlich ist.
