Inverter Coolant Temperature Sensor
Measures coolant temperature in the power electronics circuit, which is a separate cooling system from the engine's and runs much cooler — semiconductors tolerate far less heat than an engine does. That separation matters beyond the workshop: the two reservoirs sit under the same bonnet, look similar and take different coolant, so topping up the wrong one is an easy and expensive mistake. When the module cannot verify the electronics are being cooled it restricts how hard they may work, so a sensor fault here presents as a car that has simply become slow.
