Motor Temperature Sensor
A thermistor buried in the electric motor's windings, watching the temperature of the insulation that heat eventually destroys. It exists so the module can derate power before damage rather than after — which means a failed sensor does not overheat anything by itself, but it forces the module to substitute caution for measurement, and expect earlier, firmer power reduction while one is faulty. The sensor lives inside the transaxle where nothing reaches it; the wiring to it lives outside where everything does, which is why the circuit codes it generates are wiring diagnoses far more often than sensor ones.
