Que faire

Expect reduced power or slower charging. The vehicle cannot confirm its battery can be cooled, so it is protecting the most expensive part it has — that is deliberate, not an additional fault.

Do not top this system up yourself, and do not let anyone use ordinary coolant. High-voltage battery coolant is a specific low-conductivity fluid, chosen so that it does not conduct electricity if it ever reaches live parts. Using the wrong one is a safety matter rather than a technicality.

Mention any recent work on the cooling system, since this sensor is disturbed whenever the battery cooling circuit is serviced and one left unplugged produces this exactly.

If the level really is low, ask where it went. A leak in this circuit needs finding rather than topping up.

Ce que signifie ce code

The circuit for the high-voltage battery's coolant level sensor is open.

A traction battery is liquid-cooled on most vehicles that have one, and its cooling circuit is entirely separate from the engine's. It runs cooler, it has its own pump, its own radiator or chiller, and its own reservoir — and the module needs to know there is coolant in it before it will let the pack work hard.

Which is why an open sensor circuit is treated seriously even though nothing has overheated. The module cannot confirm the pack can be cooled, so it protects the most expensive component in the vehicle: expect reduced power, reduced charging rate, or rapid-charging disabled. That is deliberate rather than a further fault.

The circuit itself fails in ordinary ways — an open wire, a corroded terminal, a sensor left unplugged after cooling system work. Check that it is connected before anything else, since this circuit is disturbed whenever the battery cooling system is serviced.

There is one thing here that matters more than the code and is worth knowing. High-voltage battery coolant is usually a specific low-conductivity fluid, chosen because it must not conduct electricity if it ever contacts live components. Topping the system up with ordinary coolant is genuinely dangerous in a high-voltage system, not merely incorrect.

So if the level is genuinely low, ask where it went — a leak in a high-voltage battery cooling circuit needs finding, not topping up.
