Direct Ozone Reduction Catalyst
A catalytic coating on the radiator — sometimes the condenser or charge air cooler too — that converts ground-level ozone in the air passing through into ordinary oxygen. Unusually for emissions equipment it treats air the vehicle did not pollute, and it sits nowhere near the exhaust. The practical trap is that it is a coating rather than a separate part: an ordinary uncoated radiator fits, cools perfectly and silently removes the function, so on an equipped vehicle the radiator is not the interchangeable part a catalogue lookup suggests.
