U0214: Kommunikationsverlust mit dem Steuergerät der Fernbedienung
Was zu tun ist
The car drives normally once running, but the remote locking and possibly keyless entry and starting will not work.
Before buying a battery or a new key, do one free test: use the mechanical key. There is a metal key blade hidden inside the fob, and a lock barrel on the driver's door — often under a small cap on the handle. If that opens the car while the fob does nothing, the fob is fine and the receiver in the car is the problem. If you have a second fob and it behaves the same way, that settles it — two fobs do not fail together.
If your car is keyless, find the backup starting method in the handbook now. There is almost always a place to hold or insert the fob that lets the car read it without radio — often against the start button or in a slot in the centre console. Knowing that before you need it is the difference between an inconvenience and being stranded.
Mention any aftermarket electrics — an alarm, a tracker, a dashcam, a cheap phone charger. These can interfere with the receiver, and it is a real cause rather than a long shot. And mention any damp headlining or pillar trim, since these receivers often live high in the car where roof and screen leaks reach them.
Was dieser Code bedeutet
The module that receives signals from the remote key or fob has stopped being heard from. See U0200 for the block's framing.
This is the vehicle's radio receiver for its keys, and losing it produces a complaint that sounds nothing like a network fault: "my key has stopped working". The natural response is a new battery, then a new fob, then reprogramming — and none of those changes anything, because the fob is transmitting perfectly to a receiver nobody can hear.
The distinguishing test costs nothing and is worth knowing. Almost every vehicle has a mechanical key blade, hidden inside the fob, and a lock barrel — often concealed under a cap on the driver's door handle. If the mechanical key opens the car and the fob does nothing, the fob and its battery are not the problem. And if a second fob behaves identically, that is close to conclusive: two fobs do not fail at once, but one receiver does.
On keyless-entry vehicles the same module usually handles the proximity function, so the car may not detect the key on approach and may refuse to start with the button. Almost every keyless vehicle has a backup — a slot to place the fob in, or a defined spot to hold it against the column or the start button, which reads the key by short-range induction and needs no battery in the fob at all. Finding out what that backup is for the specific vehicle is worth doing before being stranded, and it is in the handbook.
Two causes deserve naming. The module is a radio receiver with an antenna, and aftermarket electrical equipment is a genuine cause of it going deaf — alarms, trackers, dashcams and phone chargers all sit near it and some transmit. The corpus already names a faulty aftermarket alarm or immobiliser installation for this reason. And these receivers are frequently mounted high in the vehicle — behind the headlining, in a pillar, near the rear screen — which places them where a leaking sunroof drain or screen seal delivers water, exactly as at U0207.

Dazu wurde noch nichts veröffentlicht. Was immer Sie gefunden haben, ist es wert, aufgeschrieben zu werden — selbst eine Sackgasse erspart jemandem denselben Nachmittag.
Was einen Bericht lesenswert macht:
- Das Fahrzeug — Marke, Modell, Baujahr und Motor. Derselbe Fehler verhält sich auf jedem anders.
- Was Sie gemessen haben, nicht nur, was Sie getauscht haben.
- Was es tatsächlich behoben hat — oder dass nichts es behoben hat, was ebenso nützlich ist.
