Turbine Speed Sensor
Measures how fast the transmission's input shaft is turning — the torque converter's turbine, hence the name. The most important single measurement the transmission module takes, because nearly everything it concludes comes from comparing two speeds: input against output gives the ratio actually achieved, which is how gear ratio faults are detected, and input against engine speed gives the slip across the converter, which is how lock-up is verified. Magnetic, so metallic debris circulating in worn fluid collects on its tip and blinds it — a sensor found furred with metal is reporting a larger problem rather than being the problem.
