Expect stalling or a no-start. Do not rely on this vehicle for a journey — the failure mode is the engine stopping without warning, which is genuinely hazardous at speed or in traffic. If it cuts out when hot and restarts once cooled, say so explicitly; that pattern is the strongest single clue and is easy to miss.

This is the single most important signal the engine control module receives: it establishes engine speed and crank angle, and without it there is no spark timing, no injection timing, and no misfire detection. Testing needs the sensor's output observed while hot, not measured cold in a workshop.
